Last juli i bought a Apple Powerbook G4, 17″ screen, 1,5gb of memory and a 320gb harddisk.
The memory has been extended to 2gb and a lot of software is installed.
The PB had to replace the “old” Dell Latitude D510 notebook. I love the PB and his Mac OSX. No more Windows for me. I gave the Dell to my niece so it don’t have to go eat dust on the attic.
So for now, i’m an Apple addict. Sue me!
Despite rumors circling concerning the Mac mini’s demise, there will always be a bunch of Mac mini lovers who will protect and defend their tiny computer to the death. Designer Mac Funamizu is another one of them, coming up with a new Mac mini design that is more or less in line with the latest offerings from Apple. You can tell it takes its super slim influence from the MacBook Air, and who are we to say that the touch pad is not made out of glass?
Looks like a macbook but i like it!
Could this be the closest possible iPhone clone to date? Known as the iOrgane (I’m not sure if the typo is done on purpose) complete with a somewhat misshapen Apple logo to reflect the new “organe” fruit, there is not much information on the handset specifications but it is a hoot to look at from behind. I wonder what Apple’s legal eagles have to say about this – will they bring them to court or actually let them go easily?
It shure looks good but can it beat the real thing?

In the days and hours leading up to Apple’s product announcements, AppleInsider typically receives and influx of last minute tips from new sources for which there is little time for confirmation. Historically, we’ve refrained from publishing these rumors in order to maintain focus on information that we believe is most accurate.
However, the recent launch of AppleInsider’s Backpage blogs affords us with a forum to present some of the more sound but unconfirmed tips solely for the sake of reader discussion. Again, AppleInsider cannot vouch for the accuracy of these reports and recommends that readers treat them rumors that may pan out, but may also prove to be incredibly inaccurate. With that said, here’s some of the latest rumblings.
It’s not the first time that Apple files patents related to some kind of tablet computer. It has been described as a “big iPhone”, or as a full-fledged tablet, but on the latest images, it looks like a large mobile internet device (MID).
It’s probably the right format: big enough to read and use the fingers but most likely thin and light. Images in the photo gallery show different situations, including an interesting one with a virtual keyboard. If it was to be priced correctly ($500-$700), it could be attractive. Now, we need to know more about the software, apps compatibility and performance.
So the iPhone’s touch interface has helped propel it to the top of many people’s wish lists, in addition to its stunning looks and overall hype despite the glaring lack of 3G connectivity, but what happens when you want to go back to the good old days of a rotary dial when making a call? That’s the advantage of the iPhone’s full touch screen display, with the iDial iPhone Retro application which allows you to dial phone numbers via a virtual rotary dial.
Needless to say this is much slower than just punching some numbers, but at least it helps get your retro kicks in. You will be able to get the application here.

DEN HAAG – De Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst (RVD) heeft de website Geenstijl.nl gesommeerd een foto van prins Willem-Alexander en prinses Máxima te verwijderen.
Wanneer de site geen gehoor geeft aan de oproep, volgen “verdere stappen”, aldus de dienst woensdag.
Geenstijl is niet van plan de foto te verwijderen, bevestigde oprichter Dominique Weesie woensdag.
iPhone
Op de prent is volgens Geenstijl te zien hoe Willem-Alexander en Máxima in New York een iPhone van Apple kopen. De RVD ontkent dat het koninklijk paar de gadget heeft aangeschaft.
Rechter
“De RVD kennende wordt dit een gang naar de rechter”, gokt Weesie. “Die gaan we graag aan.” Volgens de website is een foto van het prinselijke paar die een iPhone koopt nieuws.
“Wellicht niet voor een landelijk dagblad, maar wel voor onze doelgroep. Het apparaat is mateloos populair onder onze lezers.”
Gedragscode
De website heeft zich bovendien nooit geconformeerd aan de RVD-gedragscode die media moeten ondertekenen om officiële fotomomenten van het Koninklijk Huis bij te mogen wonen.
“Wij zijn niet uit op de schending van privacy”, stelt Weesie. “Anders waren we wel in de bosjes gaan liggen.
Maar deze foto is gemaakt in een van de drukste winkels ter wereld. Het Koninklijk Huis moet er maar aan wennen dat mensen tegenwoordig met mobieltjes alles fotograferen wat ze tegenkomen.”
Privé
Volgens de RVD zijn de aankopen van de prins en prinses een “privéaangelegenheid”, waar geen foto’s van gepubliceerd mogen worden.
“Mocht het op een juridische zaak aankomen, zien wij die met alle vertrouwen tegemoet”, stelt een zegsman. “De jurisprudentie op dit punt stelt ons in het gelijk.”
De voorlichtingsdienst sommeerde eerder het Duitse blad Bild, dat dezelfde foto op zijn site had gezet, ook het beeld te verwijderen. Het blad gaf hier wel gehoor aan.
En waar gaat het nu precies om?
Máxima en WimLex kopen iPhone
Wat nou de Nederlandse identiteit bestaat niet? Zie hier het fotografische bewijs, rechtstreeks uit Duitsland. Willem-Alexander en Máxima kochten dit weekeinde een iPhone in de Apple-store in New York. Weet dan dat de dollar op de laagste koers ooit staat. Dus waarom 999 euri neertellen als je ‘m voor de prijs van een donut in NY kan halen. WimLex heeft immers genoeg vrije tijd om het toestel even te unlocken. Want met een Amerikaanse telefoon kun je hier niet zomaar bellen. Komen jullie er niet helemaal uit? Mail gerust even met Fleischbaum, die weet er ondertussen alles van. We wisten al langer dat WimLex een 17inch PowerBook bezit, een PS3 heeft en actief is in Nederlandse Applefora. Helaas is de foto ook gemaakt op een iPhone dus ziet er sub-optimaal uit.
Wat een ophef weer zeg!
